How this app handles your information.

Journal storage

Entries, confirmed period dates, notes, preferences, bookmarks, kit checklists, saved plans and cycle factors are stored locally on your device. Luma has no accounts, advertising, analytics or app-owned server. Optional Apple Health access lets you review and manually import or export menstrual-flow records. There is no automatic background or cloud sync. Device backups may include your journal.

Your choices

Optional app lock uses device authentication, including the device passcode. Reminder permission is requested when you choose to schedule a reminder; reminders say only “A reminder you set.” Exports contain the information you select and are shared through the system share sheet. Notes are excluded by default. Shared copies are outside Luma’s control. Anyone who knows your device passcode may also unlock Luma.

Deletion

Use Delete all data in the app to remove entries, period dates, preferences, reminders and unfinished drafts. Previously exported copies and device backups may remain; manage those separately. Deleting Luma’s local data does not delete copies already exported to Apple Health. Manage Health records separately.

Support and policy updates
