Does CodeMode work offline?
Yes. The timer, projects, reflections and history work offline without an account. The current version has no ads, analytics or purchase flow.
Can I end a session early?
Yes. Standard mode allows an early exit. Strict mode asks you to type END to confirm.
Why might distraction blocking be unavailable?
Blocking requires Screen Time permission. A new blocking schedule needs at least 15 minutes remaining; if a recovered session cannot meet that limit, the timer continues without blocking.
How do I delete my sessions?
When no session is active, open Settings and choose Delete all local data to remove sessions and projects. Delete exported files separately. Preferences and Screen Time selections may remain after deleting sessions and projects.
Can I restore an export?
JSON and CSV exports let you keep or share your records. CodeMode does not currently import or restore those exports.
Good to know
Screen Time access is optional. Blocking does not silence notifications or enable iOS Focus, and short breaks are unblocked. Private display hides task details on supported displays; it does not erase saved history. Use the app responsibly and verify important information before acting.
